Paint Correction

Paint correction is the process of permanently removing imperfections in your vehicle’s paint. These include spider webbing, swirl marks, hologramming, slight scratches, and buffer trails. These imperfections are removed permanently, not simply covered up with products that temporarily fill the marks.

The process starts with a thorough cleaning of the paint surface. Any dirt left behind could cause damage to the paint once the buffing and polishing starts.

Abrasive polishers and buffers are used to remove a microscopic amount of the paint. This polishing and buffing will also smooth and remove the imperfections.

It is important to note that not all scratches or imperfections can be removed. Some are simply too deep and would compromise too much of the paint, resulting in premature oxidation of the paint.

Single Step Paint Correction

For newer cars with spiderwebbing and scratches in the clearcoat.

Paint is refined with a 30-50% defect removal for hard paint and a 40-70% defect removal for softer paint.

Two Step Paint Correction

For cars with heavy spiderwebbing and scratches in the clearcoat.

Paint is refined with a 75-90% defect removal. This is ideal for older cars and cars with badly scratched paint.
